U.S. House to vote Friday on student loan rate extension Apr 25th 2012, 20:22 WASHINGTON | Wed Apr 25, 2012 4:22pm EDT WASHINGTON (Reuters) - The U.S. House of Representatives will vote on Friday on a one-year extension of current low interest rates on student loans, House Speaker John Boehner said on Wednesday. Boehner told reporters that the extension would be paid for by taking money away from President Barack Obama's healthcare overhaul initiatives.
