Republican Boustany wins Louisiana U.S. House runoff Dec 9th 2012, 05:52 Sun Dec 9, 2012 12:06am EST (Reuters) - U.S. Congressman Charles Boustany claimed victory over fellow Republican Representative Jeff Landry in a Louisiana runoff on Saturday for a House of Representatives seat. Boustany won a fifth term, polling 61 percent of the vote in the southwest Louisiana district, with 99 percent of precincts reporting, according to the Louisiana secretary of state's office. "Thank you! We couldn't have done it without you!" read a note on Boustany's campaign website late on Saturday. The two Republican representatives were forced to vie for a single House seat after Louisiana's seven districts were reduced to six in the last redistricting cycle.
