WASHINGTON (Reuters) - U.S. Secret Service Director Mark Sullivan, who is head of the agency that protects the president and other officials, will retire on February 22, a Secret Service spokesman said on Friday.

Sullivan, who was in charge of the agency when it was embroiled in a scandal involving prostitutes in Colombia, will be stepping down after almost 30 years with the service, spokesman Brian Leary said.
