MILWAUKEE | Mon Jul 8, 2013 9:06pm EDT

MILWAUKEE (Reuters) - A federal judge on Monday temporarily blocked a part of a new law in Wisconsin that opponents say will close two of the four abortion clinics in the state if enforced.

The law, signed on Friday by Republican Governor Scott Walker, requires women to undergo an ultrasound before they get an abortion and doctors who perform abortions to have admitting privileges at a hospital within 30 miles of their clinics. Federal District Court Judge William Conley ordered that the admitting privileges requirement be halted for 10 days, until another hearing can be held.
