Obama set to submit new NLRB nominees to Senate: aide Jul 16th 2013, 21:12 WASHINGTON | Tue Jul 16, 2013 5:12pm EDT WASHINGTON (Reuters) - President Barack Obama's new nominees to the National Labor Relations Board will be two veteran labor lawyers, Nancy Schiffer and Kent Hirozawa, a senior Democratic aide said on Tuesday. Obama will nominate the pair to replace two nominees that he has agreed to withdraw as part of a bipartisan agreement reached by senators earlier in the day. That deal ends for now a Democratic threat to strip Republicans of their power to block Obama nominations with procedural roadblocks known as filibusters in return for prompt confirmation of seven of the president's nominees.
